I am sure this is a reflection of age but I have always loved Warzone 2100. I have managed to play this on all sorts of windows platforms but it is a very old game.
My son introduced me to a cracking RTS game - Supreme Commander 2. Brilliant and simple as well as quick to get into. I now thoroughly enjoy playing a skirmish and the latest game update includes a save facility.
I am now at the stage of using major long range artillery. Only complaint is the lack of more maps - and how the maps that come with the game are very similar. Maps do not appear to be imminent which is a real shame. So I am looking for another RTS with similar credentials.
